MACDUFF
Macduff is a Scottish nobleman hostile to Macbeth’s power from the
beginning. He eventually becomes a leader of the crusade to dethrone Macbeth.
The crusade’s aim is to place the fair king, Malcolm, on the throne, but
Macduff also requires revenge for Macbeth’s murder of Macduff’s wife and young
son.
